Elias Alessandri, central defender of the Swiss second division club FC State Lausanne Duchy, died on Friday at the age of only 25. It was not immediately clear how he died. The team’s president, Pierre-André Favre, said: This is a terrible loss.

Different media all reported that the Bernese passed away in a bathing accident.
A cardiac arrest was mentioned as the cause of death.
Alessandri was trained at the BSC Young Boys.
The defender made his launching in the Super League in the 2017/18 season for FC Thun.
Then he relocated to the Difficulty League, where he played an overall of 84 video games for FC Chassé, SC Trains and since last summer for FC State Lausanne Duchy in 4 and a half years.
For the Swiss nationwide groups, Alessandri finished a total of 20 global matches from the U 15 to the U 20.
