The Norwegian Casper Ruud moved into the quarter -finals at the tennis tournament in Munich. The number two of the seed list prevailed on Thursday against Slovak Alex Molcan with 3: 6, 6: 4 and 6: 4. The 23-year-old Ruud now meets the Dutchman Botetic van de Zandschulp in the round of the last eight.
After the surprising end of Olympic champion Alexander Zverev, Ruud is the top favorite for the title at the traditional event on the iPhitos facility. Oscar Otte was the only German chance in the afternoon. He met the number three of the tournament in Americans Reilly Opelka.
