The Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy VI already has a launch date

Square Enix has confirmed the release date of Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster.

The new version with improved graphics of the JRPG classic originally published for SNES in 1994 will be available on iOS and Android mobile platforms, and on PC through Steam, from next February 23.

Among other things, the Pixel Remaster has 2D graphics updated and supervised by Kazuko Shibuya, a remastered soundtrack supervised by Nobuo Uematsu, and quality of life type as tactile controls, modernized interface, automatic battles and more.

In addition, the Japanese company has revealed that users who make the reservation through Steam will obtain a series of extras, such as four wallpapers, five music tracks and a 20% discount. The songs are the following:

  • The Decisive Battle (Timelapse Remix)
  • Terra’s Theme (Timelapse Remix)
  • Searching for Friends (Timelapse Remix)

  • Locke’s Theme (Timelapse Remix)
  • Aria di Mezzo Carattrere (Instrumental)
