The landscape of the game changes once more. Microsoft today announced in a tweet and a blog item that it would acquire Activision Blizzard as part of a multi-billion dollar agreement. Microsoft’s blog post provides more details on the goals of the acquisition.
Activision Blizzard offers a long list of game titles that are added to the growing Microsoft collection. Games like Diablo, Warcraft and Overwatch, the company has big names attached to it.
Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, describes its objectives for IP Blizzard Activision at the end of the acquisition. In the blog post on the Xbox website, Spencer discusses the contribution of Titles Activision Blizzard to Games Pass. In addition, he says new titles will advance cloud gaming plans.
