SKA-P is a group of Spanish Punk Ska, originally from Vallecas district, in Madrid. It is formed in 1994 around a group of friends including Pulpul and some of the current members like Bassist Julio and the Kogote Clavierist. The Group is made known by its open demands against political and social injuries, to revolutionary accents, sharing some demands of the Spanish Basque Country and denouncing poverty, globalization, American imperialism, religion, political corruption, the war, animal violence, racism, Spanish monarchy or activist for the legalization of cannabis.
With the punk ska as a musical reference, the group associates both festive tunes and serious themes, always bearing a claiming aim with very texts oriented to an antisystem and altermondialist style. With a very dynamic scenic presence, especially scaled by number of costumes and disguises, the group becomes very popular with festivals and acquires world famous, with great success in Europe and Latin America.
